Round four of the Copa España de Velocidad at Motorland provided an interesting four days for Luca Gardner on his Pre-GP Moto3 Moriwaki. A DNF in the race on Sunday was a frustrating finish to a challenging weekend.
Luca was also experiencing issues with chatter in some corners, and, in the absence of his father sought the advice of another former 500cc World Championship rider, Christian Sarron. “I asked Christian if he could help with my set up because we hadn’t been able to fix the chatter before qualifying. He’d seen me in the warm up and knew exactly what to do. It was much better in the race, and even though I was sliding a bit, it feels better for me than the chatter. I really appreciate Christian helping me out,” said a grateful Luca.
Round five of the Copa España de Velocidad will be at Estoril Portugal in September, after the summer break.
