The NZI Helmets factory is located near the Spanish South-East coast, in the town of Yecla (Murcia). The nearest airports are Alicante at 90 km and Valencia at 125 km. Valencia is also where the International Sales Office is located. In our 15.000 m2 factory and warehouse around 80 people are working in management, production, research and development, testing, offices and logistics.
Since the birth of the company in 1983 NZI Helmets is producing personal protective equipment. The most important is the motorcycle helmet.
The corporate philosophy of NZI Helmets (aka “mission statement”) is:
To be a company that is compromised with the security of the users of two wheelers, this security should be accessible for everyone. To try to contribute to, by means of technological innovation and development of new concepts, that every day that passes we can reduce the number of accidents in the sector.
NZI Helmets designs, develops, manufactures and sells personal protective equipment. All aspects of the company are managed in-house.
NZI Helmets not only works in the passive safety(1) field, but also in the improvement of the active safety(2). For this, a new department in the company is started, which deals with product ergonomics, thermal comfort, acoustic comfort and vision quality. Along with the already existing departments like Production Method and Materials Research, Graphic Design, Conceptual Design, Testing Laboratories, amongst others, this allows us to continuously improve our products, in both the passive safety as in the active safety.
The helmet not only has to protect the human head from impacts in the case of accidents, but also needs to be user friendly, practical and comfortable and offer high vision performance; if we combine all these factors, we try to achieve that the experience of riding a bike can be in a way that the rider can concentrate on riding, by means of eliminating factors that could be stressfull.
(1) Passive safety: Performance of the product, when an accident has occurred, to minimize the injuries.
(2) Active safety: Performance of the product to avoid accidents.
